Deconstruction, interior demolition and strip-out: scope of work

Selective deconstruction

Building elements are removed step by step within agreed boundaries. Removal of entire structures requires separate technical planning and the necessary clearances.

Concrete rubble, mixed mineral rubble, metals and timber are separated according to site conditions and material assessment to support appropriate recovery and disposal routes.

Interior demolition

Non-load-bearing partitions, ceiling linings, suspended ceilings, subfloors, tiles and wall coverings are removed within the agreed scope.

Wall and floor openings are planned after structural, services and permit checks. Work on load-bearing elements requires specialist clearance.

Strip-out to the agreed structural shell

Interior fittings are removed to the defined structural shell. Retained columns, floors, external walls and demolition boundaries are established before work begins.

Ventilation, plumbing, electrical and heating equipment are mechanically dismantled within the agreed scope after disconnection, necessary draining and clearance by responsible specialists, preparing areas for refurbishment or change of use.

Deconstruction and strip-out services in Switzerland

SEGIM Schweiz supports selective deconstruction, interior demolition and strip-out to the agreed structural shell.

Concrete removal and openings

Structure, reinforcement and services are checked. Methods, supports and limits are agreed with responsible specialists before work.

Building services dismantling

Heating, ventilation ducts and other equipment are mechanically dismantled after shutdown, disconnection and clearance. Scope and specialist interfaces are agreed per project.

Disposal under VVEA and material separation

Disposal is planned with regard to VVEA and project requirements. Concrete, mineral fractions, metals, timber and other materials are collected as separately as possible. Hazardous or suspect materials require separate assessment and suitable disposal routes.

Rubble and skip planning

Material types, quantities, space and collection schedules determine skip arrangements. Responsibilities for required disposal plans, receiving facilities and evidence are coordinated with the client and specialists.
