Bathroom strip-out and plumbing removal services

Sanitary fittings and bathroom fixtures

Basins, toilets, urinals, bidets, taps and mirror cabinets are dismantled after disconnection and clearance. Baths, whirlpools, shower trays and glass or plastic screens may be included. Weight, access and intended reuse are checked.

Tiles and underlying layers

Wall and floor tiles and adhesive or mortar beds are removed after material and any necessary contaminant assessment. Levelling and waterproofing layers are removed to agreed limits. Retained structure and services are checked; suitability for the new finish is assessed by following trades.

Pipes and plumbing systems

Released copper, cast iron, lead and PE supply or drainage pipes are mechanically removed within scope. Lead components require separate assessment and suitable disposal. Pre-wall systems such as GIS or Duofix, towel radiators, convectors and underfloor heating build-ups may be included following technical review. Specialists must disconnect, drain and clear the systems first.

Wet-area screeds and ceilings

Water-damaged subfloors are removed following assessment of layers, services and boundaries. Diagnosis, drying and reconstruction are separate. Suspended plasterboard ceilings, recessed lights and extract fans are mechanically removed after required electrical disconnection and clearance.

Swiss quality, protection and environmental standards

Dust and property protection

Zip dust doors, barriers and, where needed, suitable mobile HEPA-filtered air cleaners are planned following material assessment and the protection concept. Negative-pressure arrangements are designed separately where required. Measures aim to limit dust transfer; completely dust-free adjoining rooms are not guaranteed.

Protected access routes

Stairs, corridors and lifts are protected with suitable securely laid coverings and edge protection. Escape routes, access and building operations are considered.

Water-line safety

Disconnected water lines are capped or secured and checked by responsible plumbing specialists using suitable system components. Responsibilities, isolation points and inspections are agreed to reduce water damage risks.

Material separation and recovery under VVEA

Mineral rubble, copper, brass, steel and other fractions are collected separately where possible after assessment. Mixed waste goes to suitable sorting and disposal routes. Recovery, treatment or disposal depends on quality, contamination and applicable requirements.

Scope of work

Requirements and preparation

Qualified specialists isolate services first. New waterproofing and installation are carried out by the following trades.
