Pool lining – PVC-P or FPO/TPO membrane

• Material: Flexible PVC-P (polyvinyl chloride) lining or an FPO/TPO membrane made from flexible or thermoplastic polyolefins. The exact product is identified from the existing material or documentation.
• Function: The membrane seals the pool floor and walls and, when correctly installed, provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface.
• Properties: Depending on the product, designed for UV exposure, weather and chlorinated pool water. Fabric-reinforced versions incorporate reinforcement for mechanical strength. The manufacturer’s specifications apply.

Protective and separation fleece – geotextile

• Protective layer: Separates the concrete substrate from the waterproof lining.
• Mechanical protection: Protects the membrane against roughness and small irregularities; it does not replace necessary substrate preparation.
• Product treatment: Some products have an antibacterial treatment. This must be checked in the product documentation and does not generally guarantee the prevention of mould or bacteria.

Membranes and fleece are collected separately where practicable. Composition, condition and possible contamination are assessed to select appropriate recovery or disposal routes.
